Tootsie Roll Drive a Success
The local Knights of Columbus Council of Manchester, extends its gratitude to our local residents, visitors to the area, parishioners of St. Paul's Church and to all others who generously supported our local charity programs. Benefiting from the collections are the Special Olympics, Vermont Achievement Center and various programs for helping the disabled.
Our thanks goes out to the following local businesses who helped our cause; namely, Shaw's Supermarket, especially Scott Dickie, manager and Discount Beverage and staff.
Our drive got its momentum by the following Knights stepping forward from busy schedules to don their aprons and volunteering to make the collections needed. Volunteers included Grand Knight Frank Sutton, Hugh Galvin, Hugh Main, Dick Schlieder and Jim Weeks. All of whom did an excellent job. On behalf of the Special Olympics and other local charities of the Manchester community and to all who contributed donations to make our Tootsie Roll drive a resounding success we say "Thank You" in all sincerity to all who donated.
