Was the Dorset Photo Scavenger Hunt too challenging?
During the recent Discover Dorset weekend, no one completed the scavenger hunt, and there are unclaimed prizes in the vaults of the Dorset Chamber of Commerce.
The question is, were potential scavenger hunters intimidated by the challenge?
Assuming there are people out there who enjoy challenges, here is the Scavenger Hunt list.
The rules: take a photo of each of the scavenger hunt items, trying to put yourself in the photos. Each item must be found in Dorset or East Dorset.
Submit your photo file to the Scavenger Hunt judging committee at the email address below, and you'll receive a prize if you also provide your mailing address.
The list: 2-LB. brook trout, swimming; The Pinnacle View of Dorset Peak, in stained glass; Bill Wilson's grave; "Zestar" apple on a tree; Reverse osmosis machine; Rolling pin; Historical Marker; Large chunk of marble; Antique typewriter; Cellphone tower; Restaurant menu; Horse liniment; Bumper sticker advocating a political position.
Please note: prizes are of dubious quality and value, and need not be declared on your tax return.
Participants agree to assume all risks associated with this activity.
The Dorset Chamber of Commerce hopes that a few Manchester Journal readers will man-up to the challenge of our first annual Dorset Photo Scavenger Hunt.
