The "Logger" meets Pawlet for fundraiser

PAWLET - The Mach's General Store Steering Committee has announced that "An Evening with Rusty DeWees, The Logger" will be held on Tuesday, June 17, beginning at 8 p.m. at The Pawlet Town Hall Theatre.

The event is a fundraiser to raise money to help save Mach's General Store.

Recent economic times have taken their toll on Mach's and the community is determined to revitalize, refocus and innovate the store to a new phase of its life.

There will be a silent auction starting that evening at the Town Hall and continuing at Mach's General Store through June 28, which is the day of the community's Mach's Fest.

With only 120 tickets for the Rusty DeWees event, they will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets will be available on May 24 starting at 9 a.m. at Lake's Lampshades in Pawlet Village.

Those interested should come in person. Payment methods are by cash or check only. The evening is not appropriate for young children.
