The Battenkillers to play the Stones' 'Exile On Main Street'

MANCHESTER - Regarded as the best album by the Rolling Stones, "Exile on Main Street" is a timeless masterpiece that draws on many genres including rock n' roll, blues, R&B, gospel and country.

In an effort to recreate this masterpiece album in a live setting, local rock n' roll band, The Battenkillers, will be performing the entire album front to back on July 23 as part of Manchester's "Concerts on the Green" series.

"Three years ago, we performed Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' in its entirety, which was an epic musical challenge," said Geoff Chamberlain, guitarist and vocalist for The Battenkillers. "We decided to push ourselves again by tackling on of the most expansive and diverse albums by the Rolling Stones."

Based out of Manchester, the band is comprised of Geoff Chamberlain, guitar and vocals; Scott McCampbell, guitar and vocals; Matt Langan, guitar and vocals; Dan Scarlotta, drums and vocals; and Patrick Zilkha, keyboard and vocals.
