Thank you from VFW Post 6471
To the Editor:
VFW Post 6471 would like to take this opportunity to thank several local Manchester businesses for their continued support and contributions to our post. We pride ourselves in our continuous initiative to assist local veterans in every way possible.
We express our gratitude to Jacki Baker, Mother Myrick's Confectionery, Amy Chamberlain, The Perfect Wife, Kerry Comollo, Vermont Kitchen Supply, Patricia Frazer, Stacy Gates, Manchester Arts Studio & Gallery, Amy Herman, Joy Slusarek, JOY in Manchester, and Hadley Stock and Ellen Adams, Zippy Chicks.
It is because of the generosity of business persons such as yourself that we are able to provide a multitude of services to not only veterans, but the community as a whole. We are working hard to do more for our Veterans and their families. We at the VFW share a commitment to remembering veterans and showing them they are not forgotten.
With your contributions our Post hosted a Wounded Military Heroes Dinner for 17 military families where dinner was served for 90 people. The VFW sponsored a Veterans Outreach Day enabling 27 Veterans who served to be registered and receive benefits from the Veterans Administration. Our post has also worked alongside the Cub and Boy Scouts including being able to sponsor several of the scouts again this year so that they may attend a summer jamboree. I will have the honor of presenting eight $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from BBA and Arlington.
Events such as these are made possible with contributions from local businesses and our local community. Thank you again from everyone at the Harned-Fowler VFW Post 6471 for your very generous donations.
Bruce E. Charbonneau
Commander VFW Post 6471, Manchester
