TEDx conference planned for June

MANCHESTER VILLAGE - On Saturday, June 22, Burr and Burton's Riley Center for the Arts will host Manchester's first multi-media TEDx seminar exploring the 'Future of Creativity.'

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. At a TED conference, the world's leading thinkers and doers are asked to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes or less. On TED.com, talks from TED conferences are shared with the world for free as TED Talks videos.

In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading," TED has created TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDx Manchester Village, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection around the theme. A dynamic advisory group with representatives from some of southern Vermont's most influential and innovative institutions has put together a compelling TEDx experience. "The Future of Creativity" will feature ten high-profile presenters sharing experiences in education, economics, technology, business, leadership and more. A detailed list of speakers and the day's agenda are available on the website. Please engage with TEDx Manchester via social media: Facebook, Twitter (@tedxmanchesterv) and the official TEDx event page: http://www.ted.com/ tedx/events/7396.

TEDx Manchester Village invites those interested to participate, engage and support a discussion about creativity that will have a positive impact on the future. Tickets for the day's events (with lunch from Sherrie's Café) may be purchased via the website: www.tedxmanchestervillage .com.
