Tech training starts at GNAT in May

SUNDERLAND >> Greater Northshire Access Television, the region's Community Media and Training Center, offers digital media classes starting in May. Whether it's making your own television show, web video or to brush up on camera skills, GNAT is the place to learn. Classes at GNAT are for all ages and skill levels and anyone living or working in GNAT's service territory is welcome to participate.

Once the course if completed, those finishing will be certified and eligible to use GNAT's equipment and facilities free of charge. This includes professional video cameras, editing computers, iPads, GoPros, green screen and a three-camera television studio.

Classes are held at noon or at 6 p.m. on select Thursdays. The schedule is as follows: Studio Production on May 12; Digital Photo Scanning on May 19; Photo Enhancement on May 26; iPad Animation for Adults on June 16; GoPro Basics June 23, and field production on June 30. Video Editing with Final Cut X is a one-on-one four-week course scheduled by appointment.
