'Taste of Italy'

BENNINGTON - Bennington Project Independence, Adult Day Service will be hosting "A Taste of Italy" evening of Wine and Beer Tasting on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Dr. Richard A. Sleeman Center at 614 Harwood Hill in Bennington.

The evening will feature wines and beer presented by the Bennington Beverage Corporation for tasting, a buffet of Italian entrees and delights for sampling featuring cheese selections from Maple Brook Farms and music by the Catbird Trio for enjoyment in the relaxing atmosphere of the Dr. Richard A. Sleeman Center and our restored, historic 1785 barn.

There will be a raffle for a basket of 100 lottery tickets currently on sale prior to the event, door prizes and a raffle for a gift certificate for a dinner package and four 2013 Boston Red Sox tickets, donated by FW Webb Co, that will only be available that evening. The event tickets are $35 a person. Parking will be available at the Dr. Richard A. Sleeman Center or the Morse Block building on Harwood Hill with a BPI shuttle to and from the event.

Proceeds from the event will assist Bennington Project Independence to provide comprehensive Adult Day Services for older persons, younger adults facing the challenge of disability and support for their family caregivers throughout Bennington County.
