Talk on J.J. Hapgood store set

PERU - On Sunday, Nov. 10, at 4 p.m. the Historical Society of Peru will sponsor a talk on the history of the J.J. Hapgood store.

J.J. Hapgood first opened the store in 1827 and with a number of different owners the store has served the community ever since. It was featured in the movie "Baby Boom."

Tim and Juliette Britton, the new owners of the property, will present their ideas for the new store, currently under construction.

The event will be held at the Historical Society on the corner of South and Main Streets, Peru.
