Summer reading program event scheduled

MANCHESTER>> A very special Summer Reading Program event will be held on Thursday, July 28, at 10:30 a.m., when Shaftsbury children's author, Karen E. Rose returns to the Manchester Community Library. Rose will share her second book in the Two Mountain Farm Series, "A Sweet Lemon Arrives at Two Mountain Farm," the true story of her hen, Lemon, who was born with no eyes. Lemon's tale proves the power of a nurturing and stable environment, good friends, and lots of love. Lemon herself will be coming for a visit so that kids and their families can meet this amazing hen. Lemon's book will be available for purchase, and Karen will also have the other books in the series for purchase and signing as well.

This program is free and open to the public and is recommended for children ages 5 and older. The Library's Summer Reading Program is sponsored by Mother Myrick's Confectionery and the Northshire Bookstore.
