Storm cruise past Kings
J.C. Lebarron was red-hot under center, going 7-for-10 for 270 yards and 5 TDs on the night.
Running the ball, Mike Woodson went for 225 yards on 21 carries, scoring one touchdown. Ken Cross had 60 yards on the ground with one score, while left guard John Cross had his number called on a trick play, taking his one carry for five yards.
Will Cole had a big day receiving, pulling down two catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns, including a touchdown catch in triple-coverage.
Marcus Anderson had one catch for 30 yards and a TD. He also caught a two-point conversion toss. Mike Waters added two catches for 45 yards and a TD, and Nick Bennett had one catch for 50 yards and a TD.
On defense, the line played excellent football and recorded a ton of sacks on the night. Mike Ware, Adrian Gruber, and Gary Hewson had an interception apiece.
St. Albans - The Vermont Voltage closed out its last game in St. Albans with a 3-1 victory over Saint Lambert Montreal on Saturday night. The win makes it 11-straight unbeaten games for the Voltage.
Vermont took control of the game from the start, and were up 2-0 by halftime thanks to goals from Daniel Josepher and Kyle O'Brien.
Saint Lambert-Montreal would pull one back on a penalty kick, but Voltage captain Liam Gilbert drew a penalty shortly after that Mark Benson was able to slot home, giving the team the 3-1 win.
The Voltage's final match of the season will be next Saturday at Applejack Field in Manchester, where the team will host the East Coast United Serbs.
