Stannard voted back on the Dorset Select Board


DORSET>> After losing by five votes last year, John "Jack" Stannard has made it back onto the Selectboard.

Tuesday's election featured contested races for a single three-year term and two one-year terms.

Stannard bested incumbent Michael Connors for the three-year position, earning 384 votes compared to Connors' 355. Stannard previously served on the board for 12 years.

Fighting for two one-year terms were incumbent Henry Chandler, in addition to candidates Dan Frost and Megan Thorn. Chandler took the win with 527 votes along with Thorn's 409 votes, with Frost earning 340 votes.
