Spring Wildflowers on the Equinox Preserve

MANCHESTER - Spring is a busy season on the Equinox Preserve.

This year the Equinox Preservation Trust is offering a variety of programs and activities for anyone with an interest in natural history, ecology, or just spending time in the woods. Trout lilies, bloodroots and hepaticas are patiently waiting under the snowpack and leaf litter; join Equinox Preserve Forest and Trails Steward Rick LaDue to kick-off the fourth year of tracking the appearance of spring ephemerals on the Preserve.

These on-going, moderate walks begin on Friday, April 12 (weather dependent) and are appropriate for beginners to experts. Meet at the Red Gate parking lot at 9 a.m., every Friday through the end of May. Steady rain will cancel.

Be sure to check the Preserve website and Facebook page for wildflower updates throughout the spring: www.equinoxpreservationtrust.org.

Contact Rick at (802) 366-1400 or rick@equinoxpreservationtrust.org for more information on wildflower hikes or other upcoming programs.
