Spring break at SVAC

SVAC Spring Break Camp for K-2

MANCHESTER >> The Southern Vermont Arts Center will be holding a spring break camp for the K-2 age group April 18 - 22 from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Studio I of the Hay Madeira Education Center. SVAC is located at 930 SVAC Drive in Manchester.

Dribble Drabble: Creative Arts Experiences for Young Children is a creative and educational camp based on the Start With the Arts literacy-based arts model, developed by VSA International, an affiliate of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Johns Hopkins University. Each session will include one or more literacy-based arts activities. These would be primarily visual art activities, but sessions may also include music, creative movement, and/or drama experiences, as well as cooking projects. The cost of camp is $200 for the week ($180 if you're a member).

Instructor Rosemary Moser has been providing high quality childcare in a variety of settings, from centers to Family Childcare to summer camp programs, since 1984. For the past nine years she has been a Start With the Arts instructor with VSA-Vermont, and uses the Start With the Arts literacy-based arts model independently with children of various age groups in sites such as childcare centers and Boys & Girls Clubs.

To register for camp, visit SVAC's new and improved website at www.svac.org or contact Director of Educational Programming, Abby Pinkard, apinkard@svac.org, (802) 367-1311.
