Shires ReSale store expanding

MANCHESTER - The Shires ReSale Store in Manchester is expanding - its hours, its floor space and its merchandise. Expanded hours will begin Friday, May 16. The Store will be open Fridays 11-4, Saturdays 9-4 and Sundays 1-4.

The sales floor has been expanded to a downstairs area featuring building, plumbing, heating and electrical departments, appliances, woodstoves, fireplace accessories, fans and more. The upstairs will showcase bargains in household furniture, accessories, lighting and wall hangings. These spaces will enable dispersed display of the ever growing inventory. On the first expanded weekend there will be drastic reductions to some of the store's big items - hutches, china cabinets, entertainment centers and computer desks that have occupiedg the limited sales space since opening. The opening will include newly received bedroom furniture, refrigerator, stove and dishwasher, and oak flooring.

The Shires ReSale Store sells new and gently used items that have been donated to benefit the work of Bennington Area Habitat for Humanity. It is located on Route 11/30 going east out of Manchester, 1 mile after crossing the railroad tracks. Besides donors and buyers the Store is in need of volunteers to help with organizing and staffing during mid-week and weekends.

For more information contact Norma Will, Store Manager, 802 362-3071, Ruth Stewart, donations coordinator, at 802-362-1185 or the Bennington Habitat Office at 802 367-1000.
