Shaving for cancer research

MANCHESTER >> Want to see 32 people from our community shave their heads to support childhood cancer research? MEMS invites all community members to join us for St. Baldrick's Day.

On June 2, beginning at 8:35 a.m., we will gather as a community in the gym. To begin, a few members of the community will be donating eight inches of their hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths and then move onto the St. Baldrick's Day event. Thirty-two people are "braving the shave" for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to raise money for childhood cancer research. Women, men, girls, and boys have raised over $7,800 so far and will be coming together to shave heads in solidarity, honoring those who have lost their hair due to cancer.
