Sandgate man charged with stalking
According to a report from the Vermont State Police, around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, they received a report of a possible stalker near a residence on Roy's Road in Arlington. The victim received a message from Gerald Vaughn-Tifft, during which he told the victim that he was 100 yards from her home.
The victim told State Police that previous to tonight, she asked him to leave her alone. State Police checked around her home and found a vehicle in a hidden location, positioned in such a way that any occupant of the vehicle could look at her home yet stay out of sight.Inside the vehicle, State Police found Gerald Vaughn-Tifft passed out. Based on police observations, the suspect's statement, and the victim's statements, Vaughn-Tifft was charged with DUI and Stalking.
