Running for office

To the Editor:

My name is Kim Nunnikhoven Seymour and I am a resident of Weston. I am running for the positions of Town Clerk and Town Treasurer for Weston on Town Meeting Day, March 4, 2014.

I believe that my skills are well suited for both positions. I am a graduate of Castleton State College with a bachelors degree in business. I have worked in the business world for the past 35 years in various levels of management. I have a solid working knowledge of computers, software, accounting processes and personnel that are needed for both jobs. I have been training with the current Town Clerk/Town Treasurer for the past month with specific training on the new software system, NEMRC.

I would appreciate the consideration by the citizens of the town of Weston, and their support, if they agree that I am well qualified for the positions.

My husband and I are hosting an open house at The Colonial House Inn in Weston on Sunday Feb. 23, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to meet and answer any questions. Please feel free to call me at (802) 824-6286 with questions before that date.
