Roundup: Hartford walks off

HARTFORD -- The Burr and Burton Academy baseball team lost their second one-run game in a week, falling on a walk-off hit to Hartford, 4-3. Hartford scored two unearned runs in the sixth to tie the game, then took advantage of a BBA error to score the winning run.

Jon Iris took the loss for the Bulldogs, who are 2-2 on the season and face Randolph on Saturday at 11 a.m.

BBA falls to Chiefs

CHESTER -- Burr and Burton Academy's Rachel Senecal thwarted a perfect game attempt by Green Mountain's Steph Knockenhauer with a seventh inning double in an 8-0 loss in the Bulldogs' opener.

With two outs in the seventh, Senecal crushed the ball to left center to break up the perfect game. BBA's Caitlyn Arellano struck out six and allowed six hits. BBA travels to West Rutland on Thursday.
