Roundup: Eagles go on road to find first W

WESTMINSTER -- The Arlington Memorial High School girl's soccer team picked up its first win of the season with a 6-0 thrashing of Bellows Falls.

Molly Elwell recorded a hat trick in the win, while Brooke Hawley added two goals for herself. Julia Lacoste added the final strike for the Eagles.

Whitney Walsh got the start in goal for Arlington, and head coach Dan Wood said that Becca Solari and Hailey Davis played well in defense for the Eagles.

The win pushes the Eagles to 1-3 on the season.

BBA football rolls over North Country

NEWPORT -- The Burr and Burton Academy Bulldogs rolled to their second win in as many weeks as they topped North Country 47-0 on Friday night.

Eric Cerra ran for three touchdowns in the win, including a big 80-yard run during the first half.

Griffin Stalcup threw two touchdown passes, one to Austin Kemper and one to Ryan Smith. Dalton Blackwell added a TD run and Derrik Whittemore had an interception return for a TD.

BBA moves to 2-1 on the season.
