"I think people are finally starting to find their roles. With the injuries we had, it was hard to get a set rotation," said BBA coach Ed Panzarino.

Eagles fall to Rockets

ROCHESTER -- Julia Lacoste scored 22 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, but foul trouble doomed the Arlington Memorial High School girls basketball team in a 57-54 loss to Rochester/Whitcomb on Monday night.

"We found a way to not win it," said Arlington coach Larry Andrews.

Arlington outscored Rochester in three of the four quarters, but an 16-8 second quarter proved to be the difference.

"We had some defensive breakdowns in the second, but it was a seesaw battle throughout," Andrews said.

Molly Elwell added 15 for the Eagles, who drop to 4-5.

Parrish hits milestone against Eagles

ROCHESTER -- Rochester's Pavin Parrish scored his 2,000th point, reaching a rare milestone in the Rockets' 86-50 win on Monday night.

Rochester led 11-8 after the first, but scored 32 in the third to pull away.

Parrish led with a game-high 40 points, coming in needing only 12 points to reach the plateau. He's the seventh in Vermont history to score 2,000 points. For Arlington (0-5), DJ Jennings led the way with 22 points and Austin Hawley added 13.
