Rotary Club to host Cow Plop contest

MANCHESTER - The Rotary Club of Manchester will be holding their first annual Cow Plop Fundraiser on Friday, July 4.

The event will begin at 12 p.m. when Elsie the cow will be let loose at the Manchester rec park to wander through marked squares to eventually drop a plop for a $1,000 winner.

Those interested in participating can purchase a land plot for $25. Plot owners need not be present to win the $1,000 prize. Land plot tickets may be purchased at the Bank of Bennington - Manchester branch, at the Cow Plop event prior to 12 p.m. or by calling 802-379-8292.

The Rotary Club of Manchester is an organization of professional men and women who provide scholarships to area youth, support an array of local sports clubs and non-profit organizations, donate dictionaries to local elementary schools, maintain the Shaw's rotary as well as run a renowned international student exchange program.
