Rod and Gun club assists youngsters at conservation camp

MANCHESTER >> The Manchester Rod & Gun Club has announced that through the efforts of many volunteers and countless sponsors, they were able to raise $3,900 at their annual Southern Vermont Primitive Biathlon last February. This revenue is now being put to use to pay scholarships for 13 area youths to go to the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department's Green Mountain Conservation Camps at Lake Bomoseen and Buck Lake. Any Remaining funds will be used toward the renovation of their indoor shooting range.

Work has begun to upgrade the heating/ventilating, backstop, ceiling, shooting lanes, and much more on the range and in the club house. The club thanks all volunteers and sponsors for their help in making this possible.
