Reverend Claire North to preach in Landgrove

LANDGROVE - The Reverend Claire North, MSS and MFA of Sunderland and Manchester, will conduct services at the Landgrove Meeting House at the intersection of the Hapgood Pond Road and Landgrove Road on Sunday, August 4.

Rev. North has been Minister in Residence at the Sunderland Union Church for over a decade where her ministry is called a Community Ministry in the Mountains. In Manchester she conducts pastoral counseling and teaches workshops in spirituality as well as creative writing. Rev. North is also an active hospice volunteer and is growing her ministry in end of life care which focuses on counseling and planning for death and the final act of dying. She is also the moderator for the Northshire Poetry Reading Book group and Poetry Writing group - both sponsored by the Northshire Bookstore.

Students of Irish dialect will detect Rev. North's lilting County Cork origins and subsequent Dublin City residence. A wonderful speaker, the Meeting House is pleased to have the Reverend North back for a third summer. Additional music with be provided by noted Windham County organist and choir director Carol Wing and Harriet Welther. Services begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. with refreshments in the garden following, weather permitting.
