Race to the summit set for Oct. 7

STRATTON MOUNTAIN - The North Face Race to the Summit will be held this Sunday, Oct. 7, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The course takes racers to the summit via Stratton's ski trails, ascending two miles before ending near the Gondola. Racers will join the likes of triathletes and Olympians who have taken on the challenge and earn four-state views and bragging rights.

Race registration includes post-race brunch, t-shirt and a beer ticket for participants over 21, with proceeds benefiting a community charity. Pre-registration is available on Active.com for $35, or on the day-of for $50 in front of the The North Face Summit Shop from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. The race starts at 9:30 am in front of The North Face in the Stratton Village. Awards and brunch will follow at 11 a.m. in the Main Base area.
