Race for the Cure set for July 23

Posted

MANCHESTER >> The 24th annual Komen Vermont Race for the Cure is Saturday, July 23, but there's still time to join in the local fight against breast cancer by registering now for the 5K walk or the 5K or 10K run.

Be sure to bring the kids along with you to Riley Rink at Hunter Park, in Manchester, on race day. They've got a race of their own – the Kids for the Cure Obstacle Course, with all finishers winning a full-day Mountain Adventure Pass to Bromley, a $45 value – plus the Kids Tent with all sorts of fun activities, a fantastic silent auction, and lots of sponsor exhibits.

Online registration at komenvtnh.org is open until 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 21. You may register in person at the race site, Riley Rink at Hunter Park, in Manchester, from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 22, as well as on race day, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Those who can't make it to the Race but would like to make a difference may register online as a Virtual Runner.
