Public Hearing on sign amendments set for Jan. 7

MANCHESTER - In accordance with the provisions of Title 24, Section 4444, of the Vermont Statutes Annotated, the Selectboard for the Town of Manchester Center, Vermont, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 7, 2013, at 7 p.m., at Town Hall, at 6039 Main Street, Manchester, Vermont, to hear public comments on proposed amendments to the town's Sign Ordinance: Proposed amendments to the above referenced ordinance are as follows: Section VIII, Subsection D is hereby amended by inserting the following at the end thereof: "Window signs shall not be internally illuminated or require power." Section X (Prohibited Signs) is hereby amended by inserting a new subsection K as follows: "K. Any other sign that is not otherwise permitted or allowed under this ordinance."
