Post-it note art show a success

To the Editor:

The Manchester Community Library would like to thank everyone who participated in the Library's recent month-long Post-It Note Art Show & Contest, generously funded by the Berkshire Bank. The windows of the YA Loft were ablaze with color, and judges had a difficult time choosing winners from among the numerous creative and imaginative entries. Mia Sherwood won for Best Building; the Best Abstract Design prize went to Kali Brandt; Best Vehicle was won by Ryan Hoffmann while Maisie Kane's Stick Figures took that prize. Stella Farrell won Best Interpretation of a Famous Painting and Kaylee Russell's Elephant stood out as Best Animal. Meridian Bremel's Landscape swept that category, and Lillian Cyr's big-eyed girl won for Best Manga. Each winner received a gift card generously donated by Christo's, Manchester House of Pizza, Maplefield's and the Spiral Press Cafe. We greatly appreciate the unstinting support of our community's local businesses.
