Police seek source of hum-dinger

Posted
DORSET - Police are looking to track down the owner of an H3 Hummer that apparently left the scene of an accident last Saturday, Dec. 28, at the parking lot of the Barrows House Inn.

Only minor damage occurred to a 2012 GMC Terrain that was hit when the operator of the Hummer backed into the other vehicle, which was unoccupied at the time. No injuries of any sort were reported to the Police.

However, according to a report filed by the Vermont State Police, the driver of the Hummer must have been aware his vehicle had made contact with the GMC Terrain, which was parked in front of the Barrows House. The Hummer immediately left the scene of the accident, police said.

The crash took place around 10:30 p.m. that Saturday night.

Troopers would like to identify and speak to the operator of the Hummer.

Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to contact Sgt. Brian Turner of the Shaftsbury Barracks at 802-442-5421.
