Police: Horses missing from Sandgate found in Dorset


SANDGATE — The Vermont State Police received a call in the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 1, in regard to the missing horses that were reported stolen from 5969 Sandgate Road in Sandgate. The caller stated the horses were possibly seen in a fenced meadow in the town of Dorset.

A trooper arrived at the location in Dorset and later confirmed they were indeed the two missing horses. The complainant in the case was contacted and arrived at the location to take the horses back to Sandgate, police said.

The incident is still being investigated by the Vermont State Police.
