Pianist to perform love songs at Equinox Terrace

MANCHESTER - Everyone is invited to hear pianist Archie Richards play and sing love songs at Equinox Terrace Assisted Living. The assisted living community is hosting this concert to help get everyone in the mood for Valentine's Day and to create a relaxing evening of entertainment. Richards will be performing at Equinox Terrace Assisted Living at 3 p.m. on Jan. 20. This event is free and open to the public.

"We have had Mr. Richards play for us before and the residents loved his performance," said Ann Bouza, executive director at Equinox Terrace Assisted Living. "This will be a lovely evening by the fireplace where everyone can enjoy each other's company and listen to beautiful music."

Archie Richards, in addition to being a fabulous piano player, was previously a stockbroker, financial planner and a journalist who focused on financial issues. Playing the piano is something he has done his entire life, and he decided to turn it into his third career. In 1970, his piano teacher, Kyriena Siloti, who was then in her 80s, was the daughter and student of Alexander Siloti, a renowned Russian pianist. Mr. Siloti was in turn a student of Franz Liszt who is considered one of the greatest pianists who ever lived.

"To say that Mr. Richards' music is wonderful is an understatement," said Bouza. "We are excited to invite members of the community to share in our love of his talent, and everyone is guaranteed to leave swooning."

Equinox Terrace Assisted Living invites the public to attend the event on Jan. 20 at 3 p.m. For more information, call Equinox Terrace at 802-362-5141.
