Peace Day planned at MEMS

MANCHESTER >> On Friday, May 6, MEMS will be celebrating Peace Day. Each person at MEMS has created a peace rock displaying words or symbols representing peace to them. The day will begin with an all-school meeting where all staff and students will come together to focus on peace. Everyone will bring their peace rock to this gathering. The students, staff and faculty will head outside together to form a human peace sign and then proceed to place their peace rocks on the sidewalk in front of the school building. The day will continue with a moment of silence for all grade levels during lunch, and various activities in individual classrooms. The community is welcome to come and view the peace rocks at MEMS.
