Pawlet wins federal grant

PAWLET >> The Town of Pawlet has announced that it has been awarded a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant for an emergency generator for the Mettawee Community School. The school is a certified American Red Cross shelter and after the generator is installed will become the location for the Town's Emergency Operations Center.

A fund drive has been kicked off and events are planned over the summer to reach the goal. Anyone wishing to make a donation can send a check made payable to the "Mettawee School Generator Fund" and send to: Mettawee Community School, c/o Brooke DeBonis, 5788 VT-153 West Pawlet, VT 05775.
