Parks board to hold Family Fun Day

LONDONDERRY - The Londonderry Town Parks board is hosting its 2nd Annual Family Fun Day event at Pingree Park on Aug. 17 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The park will be filled with ongoing carnival like games, a dunk tank, music by local artists, a bouncy house and a bouncy obstacle course for children.

There will be a frog race beginning at 11 a.m. Those planning to compete must bring their own frog. Alexander's Tae Kwon Do demonstration will take place at 11:30 a.m. A Belly fit demonstration by Felicity Haselton will take place at 1 p.m. and at 2:45 those present will have an opportunity to draw the winning raffle ticket for the Pingree Park Pig Raffle.

The cost to enter is $5 per person. The general admission includes all activities, excluding the dunk tank and food. Burgers, hot dogs and other summer snack food will be available. All funds will continue to support the Pingree Park Revitalization Project.

The next objectives are to improve the walking trail, build the dog park and to bring power into the park for future family events.
