No injuries in two-car collision in Dorset
According to the Vermont State Police, a car driven by Jane Harrington, 68, of Danby, was attempting to make a right hand turn off Morse Hill Road onto Route 7A when she collided with another car, driven by Lydia Cannon, 73, of Tinmouth, which was heading southbound on Route 7A. Harrington thought it was safe to enter Route 7A because the right hand turn signal on Cannon's car was activated, according to the police report of the accident.
The collision took place at about 4 p.m. The Fire Department, Rescue and the State Police responded to the scene. There were no passengers in the vehicles and the operators were not injured. Pauls Towing and Monarch wrecker service removed each of the vehicles from the scene after the road was temporarily shut down to one lane for approximately 45 minutes.
