New reporter in town

MANCHESTER - A new reporter has arrived on the beat.

Originally from Leominster, Mass., Mary Redstone recently graduated from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with a Bachelor's Degree in English, and concentrations in Journalism and Creative Writing. At the college, she spent four semesters on their newspaper, the MCLA Beacon, as an Arts and Entertainment writer and editor, as well as a features editor.

After spending some time following graduation back to Leominster, she has since returned to the Berkshires.

Mary will be covering the Northshire towns and region for The Journal and we are excited to have her as part of the team. She began working for The Journal Monday, April 22.

In her free time she likes to discuss film theory, listen to records, write fiction, read books, and drink a lot of tea.

Mary can be reached at 802-362-2222, or by email at
