New drectors named to NPA board

MANCHESTER - Northshire Performing Arts co-presidents Connie Ferguson and Marcia Holland have announce the election of several new board members.

Joan Carp and James Raposa have been elected to the Board of Directors, and Claudia Shell-Raposa has been named to the Associate Board of Directors at the NPA Annual Meeting. Joan Carp is a resident of Dorset and New York City and was formerly on the board of the Aspen/Santa Fe Ballet, herself a dancer and investment executive, who maintains a deep love of and expertise in dance and theatre. She feels that serving on the NPA board, presenting dance and the arts, is the perfect way for her to share her passion with the community and its students.

James Raposa is a Media and Performing Arts teacher at Burr and Burton Academy, where he teaches and directs drama and technical theatre. Claudia Shell-Raposa teaches dance and theatre at BBA, collaborating with her husband, Jim, on all productions; plays, musicals, and one-act drama and film festivals. The Raposas met on Broadway, in CATS, and their extensive resumes include stage, film, television, and commercials. NPA, Ltd. is proud to build upon its Board of Directors with the addition of these extremely talented and experienced professionals.
