Music Discovery Week at MMF

MANCHESTER - If your child ever wanted to play violin, viola, cello, piano or recorder, during the week of July 8-12, area children, ages 6-14, will have the opportunity to try out an instrument or continue study on their current instrument for just $25.

This unique program has been part of the Manchester Music Festival (MMF) since 1985. Lessons are taught by the festival's Young Artists who will be in residence for six weeks.

Parents can choose between two 50-minute sessions every day at 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. with lessons taking place at the First Congregational Church and MMF's Festival House on Dillingham Avenue in Manchester Village.

The week concludes with a recital on Friday, July 12, 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church.
