Museum Day at Hildene

MANCHESTER - On Saturday, Sept. 29, Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home will take part in the Smithsonian Magazines' Eighth Annual Museum Day Live. The historic site joins participating museums and cultural institutions nationwide, opening their doors free of charge to all visitors who download a Museum Day Live! ticket at www.smithsonian.com.

To celebrate our world's dynamic heritage and cultural life, participating Museum Day Live! venues will emulate the free admission policy of the Smithsonian Institution's Washington, D.C. - based facilities. Hildene is a part of this annual tradition.

Visitors who present the official pass will gain free admission for two people to participating museums and cultural venues, for one day only. One ticket is permitted per household, per email address. Listings and links to participating museums and cultural sites can be found at Smithsonian.com/museumday. Museum Day Live! 2012 is projected to be the largest to date.

The Lincoln Family Home at Hildene is open daily, year round from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. For more information on Hildene visit www.hildene.org.
