Mountain School gets technology grant

BONDVILLE - Over the last three years The Mountain School at Winhall has pursued a goal and dream of having an interactive Smartboard in every classroom. Thanks to a generous $5000 grant from The New York Community Trust, that goal is now a reality.

From Kindergarten to 8th grade now every classroom will benefit from this state of the art technology. The interactive Smartboard system allows teachers to pair the ease of a whiteboard and the power of a computer for all types of interactive lessons and activities.

"We're just thrilled to be able to complete this project. This proven system is highly engaging and interactive for both students and educators; it really brings such an energetic element to the classroom," said Peter Ahlfeld, Assistant Head of School and Dean of Students at The Mountain School.

The Mountain School at Winhall is an accredited Pre-K-8 independent community school in Bondville. For information on the school or its programs, call Daren Houck at 297-2662. Take a virtual tour of the school anytime at or visit their Facebook page.
