More gaffs

To the Editor:
In Jay Leno's recent TV interview of Pres. Obama, our President stated: "If we don't deepen our ports along the gulf - places like Charleston, S.C., or Savannah, Ga., or Jacksonville, Fla. - if we don't do that, those ships are going to go someplace else. And we'll lose jobs. Businesses won't locate here." Our President doesn't know that the three cities he cited are along the Atlantic Ocean coastline, not the Gulf of Mexico?

Remember in the past, Pres. Obama has stated: "I've been in 57 States I think, 1 left to go." He doesn't know how many States are in our Union?

"We're the country that built the INTER-continental railroad." Really?

"Navy CORPSE-man, Christian Bressard. . . . ." Our President would pronounce our Marine Corps as Marine Corpse?

"The middle east is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries."

"The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and IN-efficiencies to our health care system."

"On this Memorial Day, as our Nation honors its fallen heroes. . . . . . and I see many of them in the audience today."; etc. , etc. , etc.

Please Mr. President, give us a break and proof read and fact check your speeches before they're placed on your teleprompter. This accumulation of errors is telling, and reflects not only on this President but also on the electorate that put this him in office.
