'Money Pit' contest subject of presentation

MANCHESTER - The members of the Perfect House Committee will join Alan Benoit, local architect, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, at the Northshire Bookstore to help the public save money and live a more healthy life. This volunteer group of local energy experts will share examples of the efficiency challenges and dangerous conditions facing homes in the community.

They will illustrate the steps they have taken to identify, test and expose these deficiencies and discuss what people can do to analyze and improve the conditions in their own homes.

The committee will discuss their recent "Money Pit" contest, the homes they selected, the recommendations they have given and the progress that has already been achieved to improve the safety and energy performance of local homes. As an added bonus, the Perfect House Committee will be announcing the winner of their Money Pit contest, live. The public is invited to this free event to learn how this local group is making a difference in the community and how they can help people improve their homes as well.
