'Mom's Day Off' to benefit breast cancer treatment

Posted
BROMLEY - On Friday, Feb. 8, Bromley Mountain will be sponsoring their eleventh annual "Mom's Day Off" fund-raiser to benefit locally-focused breast cancer treatment programs. This year's beneficiary will be the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center in Bennington.

The idea behind "Mom's Day Off" is simple. For $15, moms can ski or ride Bromley for the full day when they show the ticket seller a snapshot of their kids. Bromley, in turn, donates the entire $15 to the chosen beneficiary.

"Last year's event drew 405 moms and raised $6,075," says Michael van Eyck, Bromley's Director of Marketing. "That brings our 10-year total to just shy of $49,000. We'd love to see 500 or more moms this year. The mountain's in spectacular shape. With the right weather, we can easily crack 500 participants."

Bromley Mountain is located at 3984 Vermont Route 11 in Peru, six miles east of Manchester.
