MMF 'Young Artist' program set to launch


MANCHESTER >> Manchester Music Festival's (MMF) Young Artists Program is in its 42nd season. Fifteen young classical musicians will arrive in Manchester in early July for an intensive six-week program of study, performance and outreach to local music students. This year they are coming from Arizona, Minnesota,New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas,China, France, Japan, Romania, and Switzerland.

Starting July 11 and running through Aug. 15, Young Artist concerts will take place each Monday night at 7 p.m. at the Riley Center at Burr and Burton Academy. They will perform chamber music by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Schumann, Shostakovich and others.
