Mettawee to hold Share the Warmth clothing drive

Posted
WEST PAWLET - It is time for the Mettawee Community PTO 5th Semi-Annual "Share the Warmth" Clothing Drive. The clothing drive will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 27 and 28, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Mettawee Community School.

The clothing drive will provide free clothes to families throughout the community on a first come, first serve basis. Those planning to attend should bring their own bags.

Donations will be taken at the Mettawee Community School on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 2:45 until 5 p.m. and on Friday, Oct. 26 any time before 4 p.m. Clean, reusable, smoke-free clothing, shoes, jackets, hats, accessories and even Halloween costumes are being sought. Clothes from all seasons will be collected, but there is a huge demand for winter items - children's clothes especially.

Donations for the local food pantry will be accepted at this time too.

For more information, call Brooke Burnham at 802-645-0968.
