Mark Skinner Library holds book sale

MANCHESTER - The Mark Skinner Library will hold a book sale at the former Bank of Bennington, 4331 Main St. (Rt. 7A), across from the Orvis Sale Barn, from Aug. 9 to 11. Sale items include new/gently-used books, DVDs, CDs and audio books. Proceeds will fund the library's operations.

Hard cover books will be sold for $2, with $1 from each sale going to the building fund of the new community library. Paperbacks will be sold for $1, and children's books will be sold for $0.50. DVDs and audio books will cost $2.

The MSL book sale begins with a preview party on Friday, August 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets, $5 for adults, will be sold at the door and will give visitors early access to the sale. Ticket stubs will be entered in a raffle for a gift certificate to the Northshire Bookstore. Light refreshments will be served.

Saturday's sale opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 4 p.m. On Sunday, the sale is open from 12 to 2 p.m., and will feature the popular "Buy the Bag" where remainders are sold by the bag for $5.
