The boys' team, coached by Athletics Director, Jeff Barclay, and Peter MacFarlane, are led by 8th graders Liam Mooney, Ian MacFarlane, Nick Price, and Cody Goebel.
Maple Street opened the season with a loss at the hands of the Dorset Rams, and they followed up with consecutive wins over MEMS, 7-0, and Long Trail, 4-2. Mooney, MacFarlane, and 7th grader, Wil Stewart, have each tallied three goals.
The Moose defense is led by goalkeeper Price. The girls' team, coached by Patrick Zilkha, Bettina Tuttle, and Julie Crosier, is also a young squad, and is led by 8th graders Lily Thebeault and Paige Marion. The Lady Moose opened with a 4-1 victory over Dorset, and they suffered losses to MEMS, 4-2, and Long Trail, 7-1. Seventh grader, Elisabeth Tarazi, leads the scoring attack, while Thebeault and sixth grader, Audrey Anglum, have been sharing the goalkeeping responsibilities.
Maple Street will soon be squaring off against Flood Brook and Mountain School.
