Maple Street School to offer summer Toolbox Camps


MANCHESTER >> This summer, elementary and middle school children can sharpen their skills at Maple Street School to enter the new school year ahead of the curve.

Children currently in grades Kindergarten through third grade are invited to participate in the Primary Toolbox Camp taught by Maple Street faculty Joy Stewart (Kindergarten) and Marilyn Thompson (1st grade). The Toolbox Camp is an integrated arts program, which explores academic skills through play-based learning. The Primary Toolbox Camp runs from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. June 20-24 at Maple Street School.

Middle schoolers have the opportunity to explore their creative side with the Writers Toolbox Camp June 27-July 1 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. This camp will be taught by Maple Street school upper school English teacher Conor Welch.

"Opportunities for continued learning throughout the summer are important for retention of skills and concepts mastered during the school year, " said Joy Stewart, Maple Street School faculty and Toolbox Camp coordinator.

Cost for the Primary Toolbox Camp week and the Writers Toolbox Camp week is $250 each week. Applicants must register by June 3 to be included. To sign up, go to
