Maple Leaf Half Marathon date set

MANCHESTER - The Maple Leaf Half Marathon and Kotler 5K is returning to Manchester and the Mountains on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 8 a.m.

Runners from Vermont, from across the country and from abroad will be descending on Manchester for an action packed weekend. The race will start (and finish) at the Dana Thompson Recreation Center in Manchester. This year's race is being presented by the Perfect Wife Re staurant, the Spiral Press Cafe, and by MVP Health Care, as well as nearly forty other local businesses.

Runners and walkers in both the half marathon and the 5K races will be limited to 1,000 participants, so anyone planning to enter is urged to register soon. Additionally, there will not be any registration on the day of the race; everyone needs to register beforehand either online at or by paper at the Manchester Chamber of Commerce. Participants are also being urged to consider signing on with friends for the Jay Hathaway Memorial Team Challenge.

Produced by the Manchester Lions Club and Manchester Chamber of Commerce, all net proceeds are directed back to the community.
