Manchester Community Choir preforms with MMF on Aug. 18


MANCHESTER >> The 22 members of the newly formed Manchester Community Chorus have been working hard preparing for their first two concerts under chorus director Linda Hueckel.

The chorus performed with the Manchester Music Festival Orchestra on Aug. 11 and can be seen again on Aug. 18 as part of MMF's A Night At The Opera, starring four rising stars from the Metropolitan Opera. MCC will form the accompanying chorus to the Barcarolle from The Tales of Hoffman, entitled Belle Nuit. Caren Levine of the Metropolitan Opera will direct the soloists and chorus from the piano.

The members of MCC are as follows: Anne D'Olivo, Jenna D'Olivo, Gail Colgan, Linda Hueckel, Rosanna Moran, Anwen Su, Anna Wright (sopranos), Melissa Chestnut-Tangerman, Julie Freebern, Kristyn Harrington, Kim Moyer, Judy Rudiakov, Peggie Telscher, (altos), David Chandler, Ellie Dyett, Richard Grip, Barbara van Vliet, (tenors), Chris Dant, Bob Davidson, Matthew Perret, George Sherman, Roger Squire (baritones).
